Through observation, you can only see the cat's external ear, ear canal and eardrum, which are hidden deep at the junction of ear and head and can't be seen.
Hold the tip of the ear:
Gently open the cat's ear, look inside, and carefully check the cat's ear canal, preferably near the light source.
Check whether the cat's ears need cleaning;
Clean ears are pale pink, with only a small amount of earwax or dirt, and no odor. There is no need to clean them at this time. If there are green or yellow purulent changes, red, dark red or black secretions, these are abnormal situations, as well as cats' ears with peculiar smell, red ears and so on. You should take the cat to the doctor in time.
Clean cat ears:
To keep the cat quiet, it is best to find a helper to hold the cat down but not too hard, otherwise it will cause the cat to resist. If the cat is very uncooperative in the process, it will stop immediately to prevent being bitten and scratched. Use liquid cleaner for cleaning cat ears, keep room temperature, rub cat ears, and gently drop a few drops of cleaner to help absorption. Then the cat will shake its head hard and shake the dirty things out. Then gently wipe the cat's ears with a wet cotton ball. Be careful not to put cotton balls in, so that the cleaning work just now will be in vain, and it is very likely that the dirt will be pushed deep by you.
