This poem mainly shows the author's interest in seclusion, his carefree mood, his love for quiet and free rural life, and his contempt and disgust for the dark officialdom.
Original poem:
The fifth part is drinking
Tao Yuanming
Building a house is human, and there are no horses and chariots.
Ask what you can do, your heart is far from self-prejudice.
Picking chrysanthemums under the east fence, you can see Nanshan leisurely.
The mountains are getting better and better, and the birds are back.
That makes sense. I forgot what I wanted to say.
Translation:
Living in the world, there is no noise of horses and chariots.
Ask me why. As long as I aim high, I will naturally feel that my place is secluded.
Picking chrysanthemums under the east fence, leisurely, Nanshan in the distance comes into view.
(Nanshan in the evening) The mountains are dense, the sun is setting, the scenery in the evening is beautiful, and there are more birds, so we come back together.
This contains the true meaning of seclusion. I wanted to say it, but I forgot how to express it in words.
