Catfish where poisonous
Channel catfish dorsal and pectoral fins have spines, which are poisonous, and still more toxic in freshwater fish. Usually after being stabbed, the wound will be severe pain, but also burning, localized swelling, and even lead to symptoms of fever, often lasting half an hour to an hour. Stab wounds are usually easy to occur when catching, so be careful and it is best to wear rubber gloves when catching it.
