1. Soil requirements
Dendrobium breeding soil requirements are very strict, this is very different from other plants. Not only need to have loose, breathable, drainage characteristics, but also must choose the soil without germs, so most of the time can only make their own. It is recommended to use bark pieces, peat moss, charcoal briquettes, fern roots, and mix them together in the ratio of 3:2:2:1, and the soil made in this way is the most suitable for breeding dendrobium.
2. Watering requirements
Dendrobium cultivation is also very demanding on water, the growth of dendrobium is very much in need of water, so you need to add water to it in time in daily management. However, it must be watered moderately, if the amount of water is too much, it is easy to cause root rot. Generally speaking, watering every two days in spring, watering three times a day in summer, watering every three days in fall, according to the actual situation of the soil in winter, wait for the soil to dry out and then watered with water.
3. Fertilizing requirements
Fertilizing is the most important step in the process of breeding Dendrobium, because Dendrobium is in great need of nutrients. Usually every month you need to apply liquid fertilizer, such as potassium dihydrogen phosphate liquid. Be sure to fertilize in the right amount, too much fertilizer will affect the growth of dendrobium, too little fertilizer will easily cause plant malnutrition and so on.
4. Temperature requirements
Dendrobium is suitable for growth in a warm environment, it is best to keep the temperature between 16-30 degrees Celsius. In summer high temperature, need to be placed in the shade breeding; winter need to ensure that can not be lower than 4 degrees Celsius, otherwise the dendrobium will enter the dormant period, there is a possibility of freezing phenomenon.
5. Light requirements
Dendrobium does not require much light, so it is not suitable to receive too much sunlight. Usually can be placed in the balcony to receive diffused light, pay attention to the summer sunshine in the case of fierce, to take shade measures in time.
