Although peaches have many advantages, they also have some disadvantages, that is, their preservation time is relatively short.
Preservation method of peaches
1, refrigerator preservation method
Prepare some water at 50℃ and wash the peaches. The reason why 50℃ water is used is because it can help kill the bacteria and insects on the peach skin without scalding the peach. Then wipe the surface of the peach with a dry towel, put it in a plastic bag or a fresh-keeping bag, and then put it in the fruit and vegetable box of the refrigerator. The suitable cold storage temperature is -0.5℃-0℃ and the relative humidity is 90%. If it is to be stored for a long time, the temperature of the cold storage must be strictly controlled, and the temperature of the cold storage should not fluctuate. If it is below-1℃, it may be frozen. Peaches can be properly ventilated at the beginning of storage. Under the condition of low temperature, chilling injury symptoms will appear after 2 weeks. When it is moved to a high temperature environment for ripening, the pulp will become dry, fluffy and soft, and the pulp around the stone will obviously brown. In severe cases, patterns can be seen on the outer skin, and the skin color is dull and the flavor will change. Peaches stored at 2℃-5℃ are more prone to pulp deterioration than peaches stored below 0℃. The varieties with good storage resistance can be stored for 4 weeks under the stable condition of -0.5℃-0℃, and the quality is good. Peaches will be tasteless if they are refrigerated for too long, so their storage period should not be too long.
2, room temperature preservation method
Peach will be rich in sugar at 30℃. If it is stored in the refrigerator, it is easy to lose sugar because of the low temperature. When the peach is taken out of the refrigerator to eat, it will become tasteless. Therefore, if you want to eat sweet peaches, you'd better find a cool place to put them at room temperature, not in a low-temperature refrigerator. The peaches stored at room temperature should be eaten within three days.
Matters needing attention in peach preservation
1, peaches should be kept away from direct sunlight, because direct sunlight will accelerate the ripening of peaches and accelerate their decay. It is best to put it in a place with little sunshine, and it can be placed in a basket with holes, which is both breathable and can help block the sun.
2. Peaches must be dried after being washed with water, otherwise water will cause peaches to rot after being in contact with peaches for a long time.
3. Don't put good peaches with bad peaches. There may be insects on the bad peaches, which may be "contagious" if they are stored together.
