"Harvest Festival", also known as "Harvest Festival", is a festival for Bunong people of Gaoshan nationality in Taiwan Province Province. The Bunun people's staple food is millet, and the harvest festival is held in October of the lunar calendar when millet is ripe. The specific time is decided by the architectural society or clan elders. According to the traditional customs of Bunong people, family members are not allowed to go out for 15 days before the millet is ripe and harvested. They must go out if there are special circumstances. Before going out, you are not allowed to eat vegetables, bananas, sweet potatoes, corn, salt, sugar and other foods. They can only satisfy their hunger with red and green peas and salt-free meat. The day before the festival, all families went to their own millet fields, sent them to the pastor's house of the village community, and collected them in the granary of the village community. On the festival day, the priest kills pigs and cooks new rice to entertain his parents. That night, families killed pigs and cooked new rice. Married daughters or sisters usually go back to their parents' homes for the New Year, or they can share a piece of meat. After eating new rice, you can harvest the sickle in an all-round way.
