Introduction to the origin of Penfolds:
Adelaide 1
Gramsci, the earliest origin of Penfolds, was born here. After the mid-20th century, due to the expansion of Adelaide, the vineyard was reduced to 5 hectares, mainly planting Shiraz grapes to produce small and exquisite high-end Penfolds.
2. Manalong Valley
Adjacent to Adelaide production area, the Mediterranean climate here leads to low temperature all year round, with little temperature difference between day and night. The main crops are Gunnar, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc.
3. Barosa Valley
The stable climate and hot summer lead to the deep color, changeable fruit aroma and strong aging ability of the wines brewed here. Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are mainly planted.
