Origin environment of Weihai sea cucumber
Weihai sea cucumber variety is Stichopus japonicus, which is a national geographical indication product. Due to the influence of geographical environment, it is the best in the top grade of Stichopus japonicus. Weihai's unique geographical location and superior natural conditions are very suitable for the growth of high-quality sea cucumber. Weihai is located at the easternmost tip of Shandong Peninsula, with a golden coastline of nearly 1,000 kilometers. There are no large industrial enterprises along the coast, and the offshore sea floor is far away from the estuaries of big rivers. The offshore sea floor in each sea area is relatively flat, and most of the seabed is mixed with rocks or silt, with a variety of algae resources, rich plankton and pollution-free and fertile water quality. The average annual temperature in shallow water is 10℃ to 15℃, and the average annual salinity is about 30‰.
