What medicine does female chronic pharyngitis take best?
Chronic pharyngitis is characterized by dry throat, pain, itching, foreign body sensation, or accompanied by dry cough. It is a stubborn disease in otorhinolaryngology. Traditional Chinese medicine calls it "deficiency fire and throat obstruction", but it is not all "fire" in clinic, nor is it just a treatment method of nourishing yin, clearing heat and detoxifying. Although the disease belongs to throat disease, it is actually closely related to human viscera. Recently, I have learned all kinds of ideas and experiences of treating chronic pharyngitis in traditional Chinese medicine, and combined with my own experience, I summarized them as follows.

1. Yin deficiency of lung and kidney: Xuanmai Ganju decoction (Radix Scrophulariae, Radix Ophiopogonis, Radix Glycyrrhizae, Radix Platycodi).

Yin deficiency of lung and kidney is the most easily thought of syndrome type. Due to the long-term illness of the kidney, it is prone to lung and kidney yin deficiency. However, this type only accounts for a small part of chronic pharyngitis, so we must not take the method of nourishing yin and clearing heat, purging fire and detoxifying as soon as we see chronic pharyngitis.

2. Yin deficiency and yang floating: yinhuo decoction (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, Radix Morindae Officinalis, Radix Ophiopogonis, Radix Asparagi, Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis, Poria, Cortex Cinnamomi), or Zuoguiyin.

This type refers to kidney yin deficiency, yin does not control yang, deficiency fire rises, and yin damages yang at the same time, but yin deficiency is the main factor. The clinical manifestations are red tongue without coating, dry throat pain and cold pain in both knees.

3. Loss of spleen yin: Liuhe decoction: Sijunzi decoction+yam, white lentils, or Shen Ling Baizhu powder to remove Amomum villosum, Gaza ginseng, Ophiopogon japonicus, lily, etc.

Spleen yin deficiency and body fluid deficiency lead to dry throat pain. The treatment is mainly to strengthen the spleen and nourish yin, and at the same time strengthen the spleen and replenish qi to help disperse body fluids. Spleen yin deficiency is easy to be ignored, but it exists objectively.

4. Spleen is out of health: Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction, Radix Astragali, Radix Platycodi, etc.

The spleen is unhealthy. It can't lift body fluids up to the throat. Therefore, the treatment should strengthen the spleen and restore its heat-clearing function.

5. Yang deficiency and cold coagulation: Mahuang Fuzi Asarum Decoction, or Fuzi Lizhong Decoction, Glycyrrhiza Ginger Decoction, Orange Stem Decoction, Banxia Shan Zhi Decoction (Guizhi, Glycyrrhiza, Banxia) and other prescriptions are used for the syndrome.

Pharyngitis caused by yang deficiency and cold coagulation is not uncommon, especially for patients with poor therapeutic effect by long-term use of antibiotics, clearing heat and purging fire. If you see cold symptoms, even if you have symptoms of dry throat and pain, you should use them boldly.

6. Stagnation of phlegm and qi: Banxia Houpu Decoction (Pinellia, Magnolia, Ginger, Poria, Perilla).

This is the synopsis of the golden chamber: if a woman has a roast throat, Banxia Houpu decoction is the main one. This type, also called plum mood, is more common in women with liver qi stagnation, especially those who are usually sentimental and anxious.

7. Blood stasis block: epiglottis Zhuyu decoction (peach kernel, safflower, licorice, platycodon grandiflorum, Radix Rehmanniae, Angelica sinensis, Radix Scrophulariae, Bupleurum, Fructus Aurantii, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, namely Xuefu Zhuyu decoction plus Achyranthes bidentata, Chuanxiong and Radix Scrophulariae).

If other methods fail, or there are signs of blood stasis, such as dark tongue with ecchymosis, dark sublingual collaterals, wrong nails, unsmooth pulse, etc. You can consider the therapy of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.
