How to use multimeter
Multimeters are divided into pointer multimeters and digital multimeters according to their different display modes. Now I will share the basic usage of the two multimeters with you. Let's take a look at this!

First, the basic use of pointer multimeter

(1) Install the battery, select the socket and insert the probe.

(2) Before the test, place the pointer multimeter horizontally and observe whether the pointer is at the 0 scale line. If it is not at the position of the 0 scale line, you need to adjust the "pointer to 0" knob below the header so that its pointer points to the 0 scale line.

(3) Reasonable range selection generally means that the rotation angle of the pointer is not less than 30% of the maximum scale.

(4) Before measurement, it is necessary to correctly select the measurement items and range switches on the multimeter according to the measured object.

(5) When measuring the resistance, the power supply must be disconnected, and no live measurement is allowed. At the same time, after the measurement magnification is selected, it needs to be calibrated, that is, the tip of the black stylus and the red stylus are contacted, and it is checked whether the pointer refers to the zero scale line position.

(6) In the process of using multimeter, it is forbidden to touch the metal part of the probe with hands, and it is not allowed to switch the gear switch with points to ensure accurate and safe measurement.

(7) After using the multimeter, it is necessary to turn the knob switch to the maximum gear of AC voltage. If the battery is not used for a long time, it needs to be taken out to avoid corrosion of internal electrical devices.

(8) Current and voltage readings are read from left to right on the dial, and resistance readings are read from right to left on the dial.

Second, the basic use of digital multimeter to measure resistance

(1) After turning on the power supply, first check whether the low battery sign is lit. If it is lit, the battery needs to be replaced.

(2) Before operation, turn the function knob to the "On-Off Buzzer Diode" position, and then touch the pen tip of the black stylus and the red stylus to check the continuity. If there is no display on the screen, the battery is dead. If there is a display on the screen and there is no beep, you need to check whether the sound mode is turned on.

(3) Be able to recognize the numbers and symbols on the display screen.

(4) When measuring the resistance, insert the black stylus into the "COM" hole, insert the red stylus into the "VΩ" hole, then turn the function knob to the appropriate range in the "Ω" block, and then use the tips of the black stylus and the red stylus to touch the metal parts at both ends of the resistance. Do not touch both ends of the resistor at the same time during measurement.
