First, the feeding method
1. Potted soil
To cultivate potted Dendrobium, it is suggested to choose flowerpots with good air permeability and large space, which is beneficial to the healthy growth of plants. Humus soil, peat soil, perlite and pebbles can be mixed according to the ratio of 1: 1:3:3. Potted soil is rich in nutrients, which is more conducive to plant growth.
lamplight
The growth of potted Dendrobium needs to provide moderate light, and exposure to the sun is not allowed. It is best to scatter it by sunlight, and ensure 4-6 hours of illumination every day during the growing period. Pay attention to the light time should not be too long, otherwise it is not conducive to the healthy growth of plants.
water
The cultivation of potted Dendrobium needs sufficient water supply. If the potted soil is found to be slightly dry, it should be watered in time and thoroughly at one time to keep the soil moist. After rainy days, drainage should be done well to avoid the problem of wet waterlogging caused by too much water.
4. Temperature
Although Dendrobium has a certain cold tolerance, the temperature in winter still needs to be controlled reasonably, not lower than 10℃ to avoid freezing injury. It is best to keep the temperature at 15-28℃ during the growing period, and it should not be higher than 35℃ in summer.
Second, matters needing attention
1. Fertilization
The cultivation of potted Dendrobium needs reasonable fertilization, and the diluted compound fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is applied once a month during the growing period, which can meet the growth demand of roots.
breed
Potted Dendrobium needs to be propagated in spring and autumn. Select a robust mother plant, cut off a segment of ramet from it, and sterilize it with carbendazim solution. Put it in a ventilated place to dry, then insert it into a new pot of soil for cultivation and wait for the plants to grow again.
