But the world of children without animals is incomplete. They are everywhere: toys, TV and movies. A cartoonist lacks the ability to draw all kinds of animals on a piece of paper and is not a complete artist. Today we are going to change this situation. In the last tutorial, we used the same template again.
Do you doubt that we will only use the following circle for most animals? Well, that's it. We just need to circulate, which will be our starting point and attract all animal cartoon styles.
If you have read my previous tutorial, there is nothing new here. Let's keep our eyes fixed. The best template will be used as the basis for all the animals we build today.
If you can't read the drawings below, I have already done it. Let's see how my tutorial draws cartoon faces. In addition, please visit how to create facial expressions for further guidance.
For each animal, I will show you some key elements that need to be explained to create an animal, and some useful skills to modify the original design into something new. Like all comics, it is about recycling and creating new things.
Now that we have the template, let's enter the first animal, the cat internet, the queen.
1. Cartoon cat drawing method
This is a basic cat face that Zhang Congzheng looks at. The cat's face is easily attracted: this is very comprehensive, and we drew it from the circular curve template.
Simple, right? Ok, next we will improve the drawing of the other two angles according to the first formed surface:
The design of cat cartoon style follows the following rules:
Big, pointed ears-slightly apart from each other;
Small nose, almost close to the face;
Beard-also known as "tactile hair" or "nose hair".
Let's see. Let's turn that cat into a female cat.
Can you see what has happened to me? It seems incredible, but I only reduced my eyebrows and added eyelashes. That's it! Now we have a female cat!
2. Drawing method of cartoon pig
When we think of pigs, we think of a cute and fat animal, right? This is perfectly embedded in our template. Speak first:
The key to drawing a pig well is its ears and nose. Make sure it has a round and flat tip on its big arch, and its big ears droop slightly forward because it is directly connected to its head. You can try to outline your ears with triangles.
The technique I want to show you is actually very simple. You must grasp the modeling characteristics of animals and quickly remind people of the characteristics of these animals in real life. For example, when painting a pig, its most prominent features are its nose and ears. If you try to grasp these small details, you can't achieve your goal well!
Is it possible to turn a pig into an elephant? Of course it's possible! As you can see, changes in details can bring completely different results.
