Buckwheat (scientific name: Buckwheat? Monch. ), alias: buckwheat, rye, triangle wheat, etc. Panicum miliaceum. The stem is erect, 30-90 cm high, branched at the upper part, green or red, with longitudinal edge, glabrous or papillate along one side of the longitudinal edge. The leaves are triangular or ovoid, 2.5-7 cm long and 2-5 cm wide. The top is tapered, the base is heart-shaped, and both sides are papillae along the veins.
Buckwheat belongs to Fagopyrum of Polygonaceae. Common buckwheat, bitter buckwheat and golden buckwheat can all be used as food, but buckwheat is a dicotyledonous plant, unlike other food crops.
