Honey passion fruit jam
Ingredients: passion fruit, sugar and honey
Practice:
Wash passion fruit, cut it and scoop out the pulp with a spoon.
I used 9 passion fruits, and I took out about 285g of pulp juice, and added about 8g of sugar.
To make jam, the amount of sugar is generally 1/2 of the pulp. Because I will add honey later, the amount of sugar will be less.
The amount of sugar can be adjusted flexibly according to the acidity of passion fruit. You can taste the jam when cooking (be careful to burn it), and add a little sugar if it feels sour. But the flavor of passion fruit is sweet and sour, and it is impossible to be completely sour.
I made two bottles of vanilla sugar for dessert six months ago, but I never had time to make anything ...
This time I cooked jam and took some out. Mmm, vanilla sugar smells so good! (For the practice of vanilla sugar, poke here)
After boiling, continue to cook for about 15 minutes with low heat, while stirring.
the flesh of passion fruit is thin. I think it's a pity that the juice has evaporated after being cooked for a long time. Anyway, it doesn't need to be thick for drinking with water or making desserts.
it's cooked!
bottle while it is hot. The bottles should be cleaned and dried in advance.
when it is cooled to a slight temperature, add honey.
Adding honey can not only play an antiseptic role, but also add flavor and enrich the taste of jam.
ok, you can put it in the refrigerator now. It's no problem to keep it for 2 weeks, but in fact, this small bottle I made was destroyed in less than 3 days.
when you want to drink, just use a spoon to scoop two spoons of water. When scooping jam, use a clean and waterless spoon.
