Preservation method of litchi
The preservation methods of litchi include cold storage, soaking in water and frozen storage.

1, cold storage

Litchi is a kind of perishable fruit. Generally, it is best to keep it in cold storage. Just put litchi in a container, then spray water on its surface and put it in a cold storage layer. Low temperature can slow down the metabolism of litchi and keep litchi fresh for about 5 days.

Step 2 soak in water for preservation

Litchi can be preserved in water when the refrigerator is not used. First, add a little water to the container, then put the litchi in and spray water on the surface of the litchi. Note that litchi with damaged peel should not be soaked in water, otherwise the pulp will soon deteriorate when it comes into contact with water.

3. Frozen storage

Litchi can also be frozen. After the moisture in the epidermis is dried, it can be directly placed in the frozen layer of the refrigerator. This kind of litchi can be preserved for a long time and can be made into litchi ice in summer.

Litchi selection

1, taste the pulp

Taste is always the most direct and effective choice (with the consent of the boss). A good litchi is one with high sweetness, crisp flesh and sweet juice.

Step 2 look at the color of the pulp

Fresh litchi pulp is milky white, crystal clear, full of juice and very shiny. If the pulp inside is not bright after peeling, it looks yellowish brown or has some yellow spots, and there is less juice, so it is dry and inelastic, indicating that litchi is not fresh enough or even deteriorated. This litchi is not delicious.

3. Look at the color of litchi shells

Because the turquoise litchi is not ripe, it will taste astringent and not sweet enough. Purchase is not recommended. If you have already bought it, you can put it aside for a day or two before eating it.

Litchi with dark red color has a high maturity, but although it tastes sweet, it will start to lose water, and it will be a little dry, and the pulp will be soft but not brittle. Moreover, if it is not eaten on the same day, the taste will deteriorate or even rot the next day. It is not recommended to buy this kind.
