Green vegetables in the south refer to green leafy vegetables, and cucumbers, beans and eggplant are not green vegetables, not even Chinese cabbage!

Belonging to green vegetables are: Shanghai green, cauliflower (i.e. rape), small green vegetables, oil wheat vegetables, bitter wheat vegetables, mustard greens, water spinach, lettuce (raw glass), spinach, tung cauliflower, fingered citron seedlings, Lycium barbarum, watercress, pumpkin flowers and melon seedlings, sweet potato seedlings, wild vegetables (i.e. bracken), Gracilaria lemaneiformis, auricularia, and Lycium barbarum.
