Shi Guoliang's Early Experience
Shi Guoliang was born in China from 65438 to 0956. He is one of the famous figure painters in China. It is worth mentioning that several of his teachers are also outstanding figures in the field of painting. They are, Huang Zhou and Jiang. From 65438 to 0973, Shi Guoliang studied Chinese painting under Zhou Sicong. From 65438 to 0975, Shi Guoliang, who graduated from Beijing Fine Arts Class, began his own exploration with passion for Chinese painting. The following year, he became Huang Zhou's apprentice and studied Chinese painting with Huang Zhou. From 65438 to 0977, Shi Guoliang participated in the competitions organized by the Ministry of Culture with his excellent painting skills, and joined the Chinese painting creation group. In the second year, he was successfully admitted to the Central Academy of Fine Arts. 1980, graduated Shi Guoliang was assigned to teach in China People's Liberation Army Art College, and later he was transferred to Beijing.
My painting was questioned when I moved to Canada.
During the period from 1980 to 1988, Shi Guoliang participated in many art exhibitions, and many of his works became praised masterpieces. From 65438 to 0989, Shi Guoliang moved to Vancouver, Canada, and planned to hold a solo exhibition in Vancouver to convey the meaning of Chinese painting to foreigners. However, in the process of exporting China culture, Shi Guoliang's thought was not accepted by people. However, not many people came to see several art exhibitions, and some even pointed fingers at his works and questioned them. In this case, Shi Guoliang fell into the bottleneck of his career. At the same time, in order to hold an art exhibition, he has spent all his savings, and at that time, Shi Guoliang was in a difficult situation of walking on thin ice.
Become a monk, abandon his wife and children
At that moment, Shi Guoliang met Master Nebula. Inspired by Master Xing Yun, he once again felt the warmth and hope of life. At the same time, Shi Guoliang became interested in Buddhism that he had never been exposed to. So after life slowly got out of the predicament, he had the idea of becoming a monk. It is worth mentioning that Shi Guoliang is married and has a son with his wife. 1995, Shi Guoliang abandoned his wife and children with egoism and resolutely came to Xilai Temple in the United States to learn from Master Xingyun, becoming a real monk.
15 years later, a painting sold tens of millions.
In fact, any profession has its own rules and systems, and monks are no exception. In Buddhism, becoming a monk must go through the "Three Commandments", so Shi Guoliang has been admonished for a long time. This includes getting up at four o'clock in the morning, shouting slogans and going up the steps, and kowtowing every time you go up the steps. However, after Shi Guoliang became a monk for 65,438+05 years, his painting skills did improve a lot. In a pure Buddhist country, he can quietly devote himself to his creation and concentrate on exploring the true meaning of life and the meaning of painting. In 20 10, Shi Guoliang planned to return to secularism and end his life as a monk in 15. It is worth mentioning that he was already a professional painter under the Ministry of Culture at that time, and his status as a monk would bring inconvenience to his work. At that time, a work by Shi Guoliang sold for 6.5438+0073 million yuan, which was his purpose of becoming a monk. At the same time, he consciously owed something to his wife and children and wanted to make up for it with secularization.
label
I have to say, life in Shi Guoliang is really chic. His love for Chinese painting is worth learning by contemporary young people. In the materialistic modern society, few people can make it clear what they really want. On the other hand, Shi Guoliang has done a good job in this respect. I hope that Shi Guoliang's chic attitude towards life and passionate pursuit of dreams can bring some enlightenment to everyone, internalize these inspirations into his own things and apply them to his own life. However, like Shi Guoliang, never abandon your wife and children in pursuit of your dreams, which is not worth advocating.
