The home-made method of making dried hawthorn is as follows:
Ingredients: 500g fresh hawthorn.
1. Soak the hawthorn in salt water for a while, then clean it. Drain the water and prepare to remove the seeds from the hawthorn.
2. Use a knife to make a circle in the middle of the hawthorn to open the hawthorn. If you have a seed remover, you can use a seed removal tool. If you don’t have a seed remover, use a hollow tube (pen tube or thick straw) to poke the seeds out of the head, and they will come out easily.
3. The hawthorn slices after removing the seeds do not need to be very thin. Cut larger hawthorns into four slices and smaller hawthorns into three slices.
4. Place tin foil or oil paper on the baking sheet, and then arrange the hawthorn circles one by one. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees for two or three minutes and add the hawthorn rings. After 20 minutes, take it out and turn it over, and then turn it over every 10 minutes or so until the hawthorns are dry. Bake for about an hour.
5. Pack dried hawthorn in a sealed box or bag and store it in the freezer area of ??the refrigerator. You can eat it until next year's hawthorn season.
