Stem leaves are lanceolate, obovate-oblong, 3 to 7 cm long, 1 to 2.5 cm wide, with 2 to 4 pairs of shallow teeth above the middle edge. The upper leaves are small and entire. The flower head is sparsely corymbose-shaped, the involucre is hemispherical, 6 to 9 mm in diameter, and has 2 to 4 layers of involucre. The edge flowers are tongue-shaped, purple; the inner flowers are tubular, yellow. Nature, flavor and meridian distribution are pungent and neutral.
