1. Soil. Orchids need to be raised in sandy soil that is well drained and rich in organic matter. Be careful not to use heavy clay soil.
2. Moisture. Orchids do not need regular watering, as long as the soil is kept moist. Wait until the soil starts to dry before watering again. Water thoroughly, but be careful not to water too much to avoid water accumulation.
3. Fertilize. Orchids like fertilizer. It is recommended to fertilize once every half month during the growth period. It is best to use phosphorus and potassium fertilizers as the main fertilizers and minimize the use of nitrogen fertilizers. You can also add some superphosphate as a base fertilizer when potting.
4. Lighting. Orchids like sunlight, but be careful to avoid direct sunlight. If placed outdoors in summer, certain shading measures must be taken.
5. Things to note. Orchids bloom in spring and also in winter. In order to make orchids grow vigorously and bloom in a timely and beautiful manner, pests and diseases should be controlled. It is recommended to spray anthers once a month, preferably at 9 a.m. or 4 p.m. on a sunny day.
