turtle.
the soft-shelled turtle (AmydaSincnsis) is a common name for soft-shelled turtles, also known as grouper fish and water fish. It is an egg-laying amphibious reptile and a general name for soft-shelled aquatic turtles of the family Trionychidae. * * * There are more than 2 kinds. There are mainly Chinese soft-shelled turtle, Eriocheir sinensis, Trionyx sinensis and Eriocheir sinensis in China, among which the Chinese soft-shelled turtle is the most common.
Trionyx sinensis is a kind of temperature-changing animal, which is very sensitive to the change of ambient temperature. When the outside temperature drops below 15℃, the soft-shelled turtle begins to stop eating and hibernate in the sediment at the bottom of the water (usually from October to April of the following year), and the hibernation period lasts for half a year.
Therefore, raising soft-shelled turtle under natural conditions is slow in growth, and generally only grows about 1 grams a year. In order to speed up the growth of soft-shelled turtle, heating measures are often used in artificial breeding to break the hibernation habit of soft-shelled turtle and speed up the growth.
Life habits
can be simply summarized as "three joys and three fears", namely: like cleanliness and fear of dirt, like sunshine and fear of wind, like quietness and fear of shock. In the natural environment, soft-shelled turtles like to inhabit rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds and other waters with clean water quality. In calm days, they often lie on the sunny shore to bask in the sun (commonly known as sunbathing), using ultraviolet rays in the sun to kill pathogenic bacteria on the body surface, promoting the healing of the injured body surface, and raising the body temperature and promoting food digestion through sunbathing.
Soft-shelled turtle is very timid. It is very sensitive to the sounds in the surrounding environment and the movement of objects. It dives into the water at the slightest sign. Soft-shelled turtles are fierce and aggressive, and bullying among groups is very common. When food is scarce, they will eat the same kind.
During the growth period, the soft-shelled turtle mainly breathes through the lungs. When the water temperature is lower than 15℃, the soft-shelled turtle dives into the mud at the bottom of the pond and begins to hibernate, and breathes by auxiliary respiratory organs such as gill tissue in the throat. The hibernation period of soft-shelled turtles is from mid-November to mid-April of the following year in Hangjiahu area.
