When you are alone, you can find something to do for yourself to distract yourself, so that the loneliness will go away from you. Below I will share some of my methods of coping when I am lonely:
1. When I feel lonely, I usually watch movies, but I must look for some light-hearted and funny comedy movies, and avoid those that are sad. Love tragedy movies, these kind of movies will only make you feel more sad and lonely after watching them. Watching comedy movies is different. Funny movie plots can put a smile on your face and pull you away from loneliness. If one comedy movie is not enough, then you can watch two more. If you don’t want to watch movies, funny variety shows or TV series are also good choices. No matter which choice you choose, as long as it can help you stay away from loneliness.
2. In addition to watching movies, whenever I feel lonely I will clean the house. Why do this? Because sometimes loneliness occurs when you are too busy. When you are in a hurry, you have no time to be alone. Therefore, I usually mop the floor, clean the windows, clean the table, etc., and do all the housework that I don’t have time to do at work. By the time you finish all the housework, you should be very tired. What you want most in your mind must be to have a good night's sleep and not feel lonely anymore.
3. The methods mentioned above can all be done at home. The next thing I want to talk about can only be done when you go out, that is, go hiking. Mountain climbing is not just for you to climb to the top of the mountain blindly, but for you to appreciate the scenery on the mountain. Don’t be too anxious during the mountain climbing process. You can stop and look at nearby attractions after taking two steps. Don't climb mountains just for the sake of climbing. Remember that you are climbing mountains to make yourself feel less lonely, not to exercise. If you don’t want to climb mountains, you can go jogging. You don’t have to look at the time or distance, and you don’t have to run too fast. Just run at a constant speed. When you reach a place where you don’t want to run, you can stop and take a good rest, and then continue running. You can go home until you can run no more.
4. The last thing I want to talk about is travel. If you really feel lonely, you can consider a trip that just goes away. You don’t need to make any travel strategies or think about where to go. Open the ticket-purchasing software and buy the nearest ticket wherever you go, and then make plans when you get to the place. Four or five days of travel time alone is enough for you to relax. If it is too much, the economy may not be able to bear it, and people with jobs cannot leave for too long. When you come back from your trip, you will definitely be a sunny person.
