Sugarcane planting requires an annual cumulative temperature of 10℃ above 6000℃, a frost-free period of 330 days or more, a low frequency of -2℃, an annual precipitation of 800mm or more, and more than 1600 hours of sunshine.

Sugarcane needs different temperatures for different reproductive periods, 13 ℃ can sprout, 20 ~ 25 ℃ germination is normal, the optimal temperature for germination 30 ~ 32 ℃; 12 ~ 13 ℃ sugarcane can grow slowly, 20 ~ 25 ℃ elongation is gradually accelerated, 30 ℃ is the optimal temperature, more than 34 ℃ growth slows down; less than 0 ℃, the sugarcane will be victimized.

Sugarcane maturity period, if the pre-mature and mid-temperature is higher than 20 ℃, the late temperature gradually decreased between 13 to 18 ℃, sugar cane early and sugar accumulation is good; if the early heat shortage, the late cooling fast, the sugar cane yield is low, the sugar content is not high; if the temperature during the maturation period fell to 0 ℃ or so, the sugar content will be transformed and declined.
