Shanxi Apricot Blossom Village's white wine, mellow and delicious, has a long history. In Xinghuacun archaeologists have unearthed many tools and vessels from the Han Dynasty, and it is assumed that liquor was brewed on a large scale in the Northern Wei Dynasty more than 1,500 years ago. By the Tang Dynasty, there were already seventy-two hotels in the village. Xinghuacun was famous for its wine, and Li Bai and Du Fu also drank and composed poems here, but Du Mu's poem "Qingming" became a household name. It is said that by the Qing Dynasty, there were already 220 restaurants in Xinghua Village.
