Fried poisonous spider
A black long-haired poisonous spider produced in Sukhumi, Cambodia has recently become a delicacy on people's table. Local vendors said that when business is good, they can sell 1-2 Okumo every day. According to reports, this kind of spider will become crispy and delicious as long as it is accompanied by seasonings such as garlic and salt, and then it will be fried thoroughly, so that many foreigners will take many of these "treasures" home to taste slowly after rushing to Sukun to "eat their fill".
Reuters reported that this kind of fried spider, which costs 8 cents each, has now become an important source of income for poor residents there. Decades ago, local residents stumbled upon this "very delicious food" in the process of fleeing, and later invented a special cooking method, that is, they must eat it as they catch it, and use "firewood to make a fire and fry it in a flat pan" to maintain its fresh flavor. The fried spider processed in this way is black and red in color, with a crispy hard shell outside and tender and juicy meat inside. Many Phnom Penh residents who like it regularly go to Sukun to purchase fresh spiders.
