Tuna Rice Balls
Ingredients: onion, mayonnaise, salt, white pepper, sushi vinegar (or white vinegar, salt, and sugar)
Tools: bamboo curtains
How to make it
1. Pour off the water from the canned tuna. Chop the onion. Toss the tuna and onions with mayonnaise, white pepper and salt and set aside.
2. Steam the rice and let it cool down to about 40°C.
3. If you don't have sushi vinegar, make a sushi sauce with white vinegar, sugar and salt in the ratio of 10:4:1. Pour the vinaigrette over the rice and toss to coat, using about 1 tablespoon of sauce for each bowl of rice.
4. Lay the rice in a thin layer on top of the nori for sushi and place a bamboo curtain under the nori. Spread a strip of tuna in the center of the rice.
5. Gently roll up the nori and wrap the bamboo curtain around the rice while rolling and tightening the rice to set the shape. [1]
6. Roll the rice ball and cut it into segments. [2]
