Which nation's traditional festival is the Songkran Festival?
Songkran Festival is a traditional festival of Dai, Achang, Bulang, Wa, De 'ang and some ethnic groups in Indochina Peninsula.

China Dai Festival is held in June and July of the Dai calendar (around 10 days after Tomb-Sweeping Day). Fixed from April 13 to April 15. During the festival, people throw water on each other to bless them, and hold activities such as worshipping Buddha, dragon boat racing, flying high and lighting lanterns. After the founding of New China, new contents such as parades, cultural performances, film evenings, exhibitions and material exchanges were added. Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and other countries celebrate this festival in mid-April of the Gregorian calendar every year.

Water-sprinkling festival custom

Wen Wei Po: Traditionally, a wooden basin is filled with clear water, then the branches are dipped in water and gently poured on others. Dai people go to the well to get clean water. They will put some flowers in advance, such as sweet-scented osmanthus, to make the water fragrant. Then they will go to the temple to "worship Buddha", and then they will wash away the dust of Buddha with these perfumes. After that, everyone will dip twigs (such as murraya branches) into each other's small pots of scented water. First, they will gently sprinkle it on venerable or elderly people, and then help each other and sprinkle it on the people they want to bless. To show the new year, and to give each other the most sincere wishes.

Wu Po: Fill the wooden basin with water and pour it out directly. The more water is splashed on the Water-Splashing Festival, which symbolizes who is the happiest in that year, and also expresses the meaning that the Dai people want each other to be safe and happy.
