Orange and orange are the same, they are just written in different ways.
The color orange is commonly used with orange in many places. But strictly speaking, the two are not the same drug.
Orange red - This product is the dried outer peel of Citrus grandis Osbeck var. tomentosa Hort. or Citrus reticulata Blanco and its cultivated varieties in the Rutaceae family. Harvest the fruits when they are mature in late autumn and early winter, peel off the outer peel with a knife, and dry in the sun or shade.
Huajuhong——This product is the immature or nearly mature dry outer peel of Citrus grandis Tomentosa or Citrus grandis (L.) Osbeck in the Rutaceae family. The former is commonly known as "Mao Juhong", and the latter is commonly known as "Light Seven Claws" and "Light Five Claws". Harvest the fruit when it is immature in summer, blanch it slightly in boiling water, cut the peel into 5 or 7 pieces, remove the pulp and part of the mesocarp, press it into shape and dry it.
The effects of orange are: dispersing cold, drying dampness, benefiting qi, and eliminating phlegm. It is used for cough due to wind-cold, itchy throat and excessive phlegm, wine accumulation due to food, nausea and vomiting, and stuffiness.
The effects of orange-red are: reducing phlegm, regulating qi, strengthening the stomach, and digesting food. Treats phlegm stagnation in the chest, cough and asthma, vomiting and hiccups, and food stagnation.
