Once upon a time there was a young man in Cairo who had a dream under a fig tree in his garden. In the dream, he was visited by a man who was soaked to the skin, took a gold coin out of his mouth and said to him, "Your wealth is in Isfahan, go and get it." So the young man set out for Isfahan in search of his treasure, following the guidance of his dream. At night, he slept in a mosque, and ran into the captain of the local patrol leading the soldiers to catch bandits, but the bandits were not caught, but this unlucky boy from Cairo was arrested and interrogated. The captain of the patrol asked him why he had come to Isfahan, and he told him about the dream. The captain laughed so hard at this that he showed the molars in his mouth. The captain said, "You are so stupid. For three days in a row I dreamed of a house in Cairo with a garden in the courtyard, and in the garden there was a sundial, a fig tree, and a fountain. Under the fig tree was buried great treasure, but I am not going to pay any attention to these absurd dreams." The young man from Cairo was surprised to find that the courtyard in the captain's dream was the very same as his own home in Cairo, so he went home and dug up a large fortune from under the fig tree in his garden.
