Necessary conditions for raising freshwater shrimps

1. Build a pond in a place with sufficient water source and clean water quality. The pond area should be 2-3 acres, the water depth should be about 1.8-2 meters, and the bottom material should be mud and sand.

2. Configure a complete inlet and drainage system for the pond, filter the water inlet with a 60-mesh screen, and add fixed-power aeration equipment (install an impeller-type aerator with a power of 1.5 kilowatts). Supply oxygen within the specified time to ensure sufficient dissolved oxygen content.

3. The pond must be sterilized before the shrimp seedlings are released. 25 days before the shrimp seedlings are officially released, 50 cm of water should be left in the pond, and 110 kg of quicklime per mu should be used to disinfect the entire pond.

4. After disinfection, spread a certain proportion of bleaching powder into the pond one week in advance, and then add an appropriate amount of decomposed organic fertilizer, such as chicken manure, to achieve the effect of fertilizer and water.
