(3) Bundled crabs can also be stored with water, but remember that the water should not be high enough to cover the back of the crab so that it can breathe on the surface.
Remember, these three methods of preservation will allow bound crabs to survive for about 1 week, but it is best to eat them as soon as possible. Don't untie the threads used to tie river crabs, as this reduces energy consumption and preserves them for longer.
