Chaoshan is located in the southeast coastal area of Guangdong Province, bordering Lianhua Mountain in the north, South China Sea in the south, Haifeng County in the west, Raoping County in the east and facing Taiwan Province Province. Chaoshan refers to Chaozhou, Jieyang and Shantou in Guangdong, where Chaoshan dialect is a language family.

The sea is in the south and the mountains are in the north. Geographically, Chaoshan has more than 500 kilometers of coastline along the southeast coast, surrounded by mountains on three sides, including rivers where the Tropic of Cancer meets, and pours into the plain.

Chaoshan clan

Chaoshan area is small and densely populated, and there is a big contradiction between population and resources and environment. Many people go overseas to make a living. Chaoshan people are well-known at home and abroad for their intensive cultivation, exquisite craftsmanship, excellent management and kindness, and they are known as "Chinese Jews".

In the middle of Qing Dynasty, the famous Guangbang merchants were mainly composed of Guangzhou Gang and Chaozhou Gang merchants. Chaozhou businessmen mainly do business in the southeast coast and Jiangxi area. Since the reform and opening up, Chaoshan people have traveled all over the province and even the whole country, infiltrating all walks of life.
