Environment: Xiangshou crab has low requirements on the environment, and can adapt to a wide temperature range. It can survive at a relatively low temperature, and it is easier to control environmental conditions in culture. Generally, crabs have high requirements on temperature and water quality. The water temperature should be between 24 and 28 degrees, the ammonia nitrogen in the water should be between 0.5- 1.0, and the oxygen content should be kept at 6-8. Beyond these ranges, crabs are prone to illness or death, which increases the difficulty and cost of crab culture.
Food: Generally, crabs like to eat deep-water things such as snails and prawns, and they have a large appetite. Xiangshou crab mainly feeds on aquatic plants and shrimps, and its food intake is small. Therefore, the crab's food intake is relatively more difficult to control.
