First, import satellite image data into ArcGIS Pro. It can be a single image file or an image service of an image.
Display image data:
In ArcGIS Pro, make sure you can see the imported satellite image data. You can find the imported data in the Contents pane and add it to the map.
Check the spatial reference information of the image:
Ensure that the imported satellite image data has correct spatial reference information (for example, projection coordinate system and geographic coordinate system). This is very important for subsequent analysis and processing.
Extract DEM information:
Raster Dataset Tool: Use the Raster Tool in the toolbar to create elevation datasets (such as the Calculate Raster Dataset tool in the administrative toolset of raster datasets).
Terrain toolset: There is a terrain toolset in ArcGIS Pro, which contains tools for extracting DEM from image data.
Image interpretation tools: Sometimes, image interpretation tools can be used to identify and extract terrain features, thus indirectly obtaining elevation information.
In ArcGIS Pro, the method of extracting DEM information is usually to use the elevation information of image data to generate DEM. You can use the following methods:
Analyze and edit DEM data:
Once the DEM is generated, it can be analyzed, edited and optimized to meet your specific needs and research purposes.
Export or publish results:
Finally, you can export the generated DEM data to a standard format (such as GeoTIFF) or publish it directly as a service for further analysis or enjoyment.
