Corn was introduced to China in the16th century, and it was first recorded in Gongxian Annals written in Jiajing thirty-four years of Ming Dynasty, which was called Yumai. Later, in the thirty-ninth year of Jiajing, Pingliang government ruled, which was called Fanmai and Xitianmai. The name "corn" was first seen in Xu Guangqi's "Agricultural Administration". Apart from the United States, China is one of the most popular areas for corn cultivation. Corn is also the tallest grain in the world.
