Does the hot water pipe need thermal insulation cotton?
need

A hot water pipe is a heating pipe. A pipe that transports steam or hot water to raise the indoor temperature. Copper pipe is a kind of water supply pipe with a long history and wide application in the world, and stainless steel pipe is a kind of pipe that has developed rapidly in China in recent years.

Hot water pipes need to be wrapped in thermal insulation cotton. The main reason is that once the temperature is relatively low, whether it is indoor or outdoor pipelines, frost cracking is likely to occur. In order to prevent the pipeline from freezing and cracking, thermal insulation measures should be taken in advance, and both cold water and hot water pipelines should be wrapped with thermal insulation cotton.

Difference between cold water pipe and hot water pipe of steel-plastic composite pipe

1, conceptual differences

The cold water pipe adopts hot-dip galvanized steel pipe and is lined with polyethylene (pe) plastic pipe. Can transport fluids not higher than 60℃.

Hot water pipes are hot-dip galvanized steel pipes lined with heat-resistant polyethylene (PE-RT) plastic pipes. The temperature of transportable fluid is 90 5℃. Can be used as a hot water pipe.

2. Use differences

The index of hot water pipe is higher than that of cold water pipe, so it is no problem to use hot water pipe as cold water. The only drawback is that the price of hot water pipes is slightly higher than that of cold water pipes. However, because the amount of home decoration is very small, this price can be ignored. Generally, hot water pipes are used for home decoration. But you can't use cold water pipes instead of hot water pipes.

3. Installation differences

The water inlet pipe (cold water) is on the right and the hot water pipe is on the left. The distance between hot and cold water pipes is150 mm. Mainly consider the size between the two tubes of the mixing valve. One is resistant to high temperature and the other to low temperature.

Matters needing attention in installation of steel-plastic composite pipe

1, indoor buried pipe should be installed before the bottom construction.

2, indoor buried pipeline installation to the wall should not be less than 500mm, nozzle should be blocked in time.

3, steel-plastic composite pipe shall not be buried in the reinforced concrete structure layer.

4. Pipeline installation should be gradually connected from large caliber to small caliber.

5. When the pipeline crosses the floor, roof and wall (bottom) of water tank (pool), holes or embedded sleeves shall be reserved, and the following requirements shall be met:

(1) The reserved hole size shall be the outside diameter of the pipeline plus 40mm.

(2) When the pipeline needs to be slotted when it is hidden in the wallboard, the width of the slot should be the outer diameter of the pipeline plus 30mm;; The slope of the pipe groove should be the slope of the pipe.

(3) Reinforced concrete water tank (pool), water inlet pipe, water outlet pipe, drainage pipe, overflow pipe, etc. Waterproof casing shall be embedded and filled with waterproof mortar.

6. When the pipe diameter is not more than 50mm, the bending machine can be used for cold bending, but the bending radius shall not be less than 8 times the pipe diameter and the bending angle shall not be greater than 100.
