Hu County (ShanYi District) is in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province.

ShanYi District of Xi'an, formerly known as Huxian, is located in the central part of the Guanzhong Plain, with the Qinling Mountains to the south and the Weishui River to the north, and is one of the three sub-centers of Xi'an's internationalized metropolis; it has a total area of 1,282 square kilometers, with a total population of 600,000 people (after the seventh national census), and has jurisdiction over 14 streets (including the streets of Dawang, Pangguang, Qindu, and Caochang which have been taken under trusteeship) .

Shanxiang District is nationally known as the Hometown of Modern Chinese Folk Painting, the Hometown of Chinese Poetry, the Hometown of Chinese Inspiration, the County of Chinese Couplet Culture, the National Civilized County, the National Sanitary County, the National Hometown of Go, and the National Archives Management Demonstration County.

On November 24, 2016, the State Council approved the abolition of Huxian County and the establishment of Shuangyi District in Xi'an City.On September 9, 2017, Shuangyi District was officially inaugurated by withdrawing the county and setting up a district, becoming the 11th district in Xi'an City, and ushering in an unprecedented historical development opportunity.

In 2020, the district realized a GDP of 23.361 billion yuan, an increase of 2.3% year-on-year at comparable prices; the annual added value of the non-public economy amounted to 14.620 billion yuan, accounting for 62.6% of the GDP, an increase of 9.6 percentage points over the previous year. The annual social fixed asset investment of 14.830 billion yuan, an increase of 28.6%.

Of which, the region's fixed asset investment (excluding investment by farmers) completed 14.061 billion yuan, up 34.0% year-on-year, and investment by farmers was 769 million yuan. In the fixed asset investment, private investment completed 4.769 billion yuan, an increase of 13.2%; industrial investment of 3.250 billion yuan, an increase of 12.9%.
