The rural name of thorn mustard is Fragrant Thorn Capsicum, Thread Capsicum, Four-pronged Rod Artemisia, False Soda. It is a perennial plant of Labiatae, Thornybush genus. Stem strong, basal lignification, multi-branched, 40-150 cm high, base nearly four-angled, upper obtuse four-angled, with shallow groove, white pubescent. Its dried stems and leaves and flower spikes are used medicinally. Thorny leaves yellow-green, stem square purplish, cross-section yellow-white, spike slightly black purple yellow-green.
