You can't. Crabs can't be eaten when they are dead. Once the crab dies, the bacteria in the body will rapidly multiply and decompose the crab meat, and the oxyacids will decompose to produce histamine. Histamine is a toxic substance. With the extension of death time, more and more histamine is accumulated in crabs, and more and more toxic gases are produced. Even if the crab is cooked, this toxin is not easy to be destroyed. If people eat such dead crabs, it will cause food poisoning. The common manifestations are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. In severe cases, dehydration and electrolyte disorder may occur.
Crabs are not called crabs. They are mollusks of the phylum Arthropoda. The amount of genetic material of this kind of organism is complex and varies greatly, often as many as 100 pairs. Common crabs are hairy crabs (river crabs, hairy crabs, clear water crabs) and swimming crabs. China is rich in crab resources, among which the hairy crabs produced in Gucheng Lake, Taihu Lake, gaoyou lake, Yangcheng Lake, Xiefu, Xinghua and Hongze Lake in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River are the top grade.
