Water bear is also called water bear worm, and people give it a nickname Xiaomei, which is the common name of reptiles. There are about 900 recorded species, many of which are distributed all over the world. Their life force is like those protagonists in TV series and games who are hung up, with the aura of the protagonist and never die. They are best described as "the strongest on the surface".
Their habitats are very extensive and ubiquitous, and they can be found in fresh water, deep sea below 4000 meters, soil, Antarctic and Antarctic icebergs, hot springs, craters and even the top of Himalayas all over the world.
morphological character
Water bears are extremely small, generally ranging from 50 microns to 1.4 mm, and generally need magnifying tools to observe clearly. Microscopically, the water bear worm has eight short legs and looks like a chubby bear. The whole body is transparent, colorless, yellow, brown, crimson or green. It mainly feeds on plants, algae, bacteria and small invertebrates, and its body color comes from food.
Although the water bear worm is very small, it can have various organs. They have perfect digestive system, reproductive system, nervous system and excretory system, head and brain, eyes and mouth, stomach and rectum, and gender. Because the shell is chitin, it will shed its skin regularly like an insect, but it has no abnormal development like an insect. They can also be divided into sexes like many advanced animals and have a simple nervous system, but they can also reproduce parthenously like aphids.
