(1) Common cold
The common cold is also called cold syndrome. Clinical medicine includes upper respiratory tract infections. This is because the nose, pharynx, larynx, bronchi and other parts all belong to the upper respiratory tract, and they are all inflammatory diseases caused by infection with microorganisms. Therefore, they are clinically called upper respiratory tract infections. It is called Shanggan for short, which is what people often call cold. However, there is an essential difference between the common cold and influenza. The common cold is a disease caused by viruses, while influenza is a disease caused by bacteria. They only have the same onset site, but they cannot be confused.
(2) Influenza
Influenza is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by influenza virus, referred to as influenza. Due to different structures of influenza viruses, they can be divided into 3 types: A, B, and C. Among them, influenza A viruses mutate, but no new subtypes are produced; influenza C viruses do not mutate, and no new subtypes are produced.
