Henan * * * 28 1. 1.2 million mu, Qixian 78 1.6 million mu, Zhongmou and its surrounding area 435,600 mu, totaling 394,200 mu. Kaifeng: Xiangfu District, Weishi and Lankao add up to 52 1.3 million mu.

Since 2006, there has been a typical vicious circle of "planting with the wind when the price goes up, and planting with production reduced when the price goes down". It fully shows that the price of garlic is closely related to its planting area, and the increase of planting area will lead to the increase of output, which in turn will lead to the decline of price and further affect garlic sowing next year. Therefore, at this stage, we urgently need to grasp the interactive relationship between garlic planting area and its price for many years, so as to formulate corresponding policies on garlic planting area and pricing.

In this report, the garlic planting areas in 20 18, 20 19 and 2020 were extracted by using Sentinel-2 remote sensing images based on satellite remote sensing. The extraction areas include Jinxiang County, Shandong Province, Qixian County, Henan Province, Yongnian County, Hebei Province, Pizhou City and Fengxian County, and the changes of garlic planting area in these six main producing areas are analyzed.
