From the date of the release of the Implementation Plan of Jiangsu Province on Optimizing Reproductive Policies to Promote Long-Term Balanced Development of Population (February 10, 2022), couples who have children in accordance with the policy, before the child reaches the age of 3 years old, the husband and wife shall enjoy 10 days of parental leave per year respectively. The annual parental leave is not stacked according to the number of children.

Parental leave cycle:

1. Calculated according to the natural year (for example: the child was born on November 1, 2022, the couple can take leave in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, but the last time must be within 36 months of the child (including), that is, before October 31, 2025) The leave shall be completed, and the child shall no longer be entitled to it if he/she is older than 3 years old).

2. Calculated by weeks of age (Example: the child is born on November 1, 2022, then the couple will have 10 days of parental leave for each of the periods from November 1, 2022 to October 31, 2023, November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024, and November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025.)
