[Coriander] (yán-suī) annual herb with alternate, pinnately compound leaves, stems and leaves with a special aroma, small, white flowers. The fruit is round, used as a spice and also as a medicine. Young stems and leaves are used for flavoring. Commonly known as cilantro. Also called caraway. See also yuán.
