Broadband connection
1. Check whether the network line connection and network card are in good condition.
2. Install the network card driver. Right-click "My Computer"----"Properties"----"Hardware"----"Device Manager", uninstall the original network card driver and then reinstall it.
3. Establish ADSL connection. Select Start->Programs->Accessories->Communications->New Connection Wizard, open the "Welcome to the New Connection Wizard" interface--"Next"--Select "Connect to the Internet"--"Next"--Select " "Set up my connection manually"--"Next step"--Select "Connect with a broadband connection that requires a username and password"--"Next step"--Enter the Internet service provider name in the "ISP name" text box--" "Next step" - Enter the user name (ADSL account) in the "Username" text box, enter the password in the "Password" text box, re-enter the password in the "Confirm Password" text box to confirm, and check " Any user who connects to the Internet from this computer uses this account name and password" and "Make this the default Internet connection" - Next - Check "Add a shortcut to this connection on my desktop" - Click " After "Complete", you will see an additional connection icon named "ADSL" on the desktop.
4. Set connection properties
Start—Connect to—Show all connections—right-click the local connection—Properties—General—click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)—Properties— Choose to use the following IP address (this is my IP address, your IP address network provider will tell you):
IP address: 192.168.0.2
Subnet mask: 255.255 .255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.1.
Use the following DNS server address (my server address, ask your network provider for yours):
Preferred: 1.1.1.1
Alternate: 24.24. 24.24
Right-click the broadband connection-Properties-Network-Select Obtain an IP address automatically-OK. In this way, not only can you access the Internet, but you can also see if the Internet speed is much faster.
