1. Tianmu Lake is located in liyang city, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. It is a famous leisure and holiday tourist area. Its formation is related to two local rivers-Shahe and Daxi. In 1950s, local people planed and built several dams here side by side, forming two large reservoirs. Seen from the air, these two reservoirs are similar in shape to a girl's two beautiful eyes, and the surrounding mountains belong to the remnant veins of Tianmu Mountain, hence the name "Tianmu Lake".
2. In addition, there are many historical and cultural relics around Tianmu Lake, such as Wuyuan Mountain, Cai Yong Reading Desk, Taibailou, Hoonji and longxing temple. 1992 in order to meet the needs of reform and opening up, Shahe Reservoir was renamed as "Tianmu Lake Tourist Area".
