Scratch discrimination method

Find an A4 piece of paper and a piece of wood that needs to be identified. Draw a small piece of wood on the paper. If it is a piece of wood or lobular rosewood, then its scratch is red.

Alcohol discrimination method

Take a transparent bottle and put half of the white wine in it. Put wood chips into wine, if it is lobular rosewood, the chips will turn into pink-like particles and form a viscous liquid of water or alcohol. In addition, after soaking alcohol in rosewood, the leachate is purple, which can be used to dye cloth and is not easy to fade. This is the most accurate way to identify rosewood.

Odor discrimination method

The lobular rosewood will have a faint fragrance when it rubs against objects. It smells more like burning wood, and some people smell like the inside of a temple. Scrape with a knife or rub it when identifying. But if the smell is too strong or you can't smell it at all, then it is not lobular rosewood if it is half.

And blood sandalwood.

The most similar wood with lobular rosewood is blood sandalwood, and the two plants are particularly similar intuitively, so it is difficult to distinguish them only from the pictures, but the price is ten times different. The new blood sandalwood material is bright red, and it is dark red for more than ten days, and no fluorescence reaction can be seen. The color of the new lobular rosewood is similar to orange-red, and it will be oxidized to deep purple or dark purple with dark stripes after a while.
