Functions
Root: clearing away heat, detoxification, drainage of pus, diuretic. Used for enteritis, dysentery, urinary tract infection, red pain in urine, cervicitis, leucorrhea.
Son: diuretic and diuretic. Used for urinary tract stones, dysuria, edema.
Flower: diuretic and detoxicating. It is used for urinary and fecal problems, plum nucleus gas, and detoxification of tetrodotoxin.
Flowers and leaves: external treatment of carbuncle sores, burns.
Morphological features
Biennial erect herb, up to 2 meters high, stem and branches densely covered with prickly hairs. Leaves subcircular-cordate, 6-16 cm in diameter, palmately 5-7-lobed or undulate-angled, lobes triangular or orbicular, middle lobe ca. 3 cm long, 4-6 cm wide, sparsely stellate pilose above, scabrous, stellate hirsute or tomentose below; petiole ca. 5-15 cm long, stellate hirsute; stipules ovate, ca. 8 mm long, apex 3-apertured.
