Bamboo leaf clover culms are slender, the base lying flat on the ground, the nodes rooting on the ground, the ascending part is 20-80 cm tall. Leaf sheaths shorter than or upper ones longer than internodes, subglabrous or sparsely hairy; leaf blades lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, basally ± encapsulated and asymmetric, 3-8 cm long, 5-20 mm wide, subglabrous or margins sparsely ciliate, transverse veined.
