Ge Liang (181 years~234 years, October 8,[1 ]), character Kong Ming, number Wolong, Luangya Yangdu (present-day Yinan County, Shandong Province),[2], Prime Minister of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period, was an outstanding statesman, militarist, man of letters, and reformer in ancient China.
He accompanied his uncle Zhuge Xuan to Jingzhou in his early years, and after Zhuge Xuan's death, Zhuge Liang lived in seclusion in Longzhong. [3][4][5][6] Later, Liu Bei asked Zhuge Liang to come out from his three visits, and united with Sun Quan of the Eastern Wu to defeat Cao's army at the Battle of Red Cliff. Forming the three kingdoms, Liu Bei seized Jingzhou. In the 16th year of Jian'an (211), he captured Yizhou. In the 16th year of Jian'an (211), he captured Yizhou.[7] He then defeated Cao's army and captured Hanzhong. In the first year of Shu Zhangwu (221), Liu Bei established the Shu Han regime in Chengdu, and Zhuge Liang was appointed prime minister, presiding over the government. When Liu Zen, the later lord, succeeded to the throne, Zhuge Liang was appointed Marquis of Wuxiang, leading the pastor of Yizhou. He was diligent and prudent, dealing with large and small matters personally, and was strict with rewards and punishments; he allied with Dongwu to improve the relationship with the southwestern tribes; he practiced the policy of cantonment and strengthened the war preparations. He launched five northern invasions of the Central Plains, but most of them were unsuccessful due to the exhaustion of food. He died of illness in the 12th year of Jianxing in Shu (234) at the age of 54 in Wuzhangyuan (in Qishan, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province) [8]. Liu Chan posthumously named him Marquis of Zhongwu, and later generations often honored Zhuge Liang with the title of Marquis of Zhongwu. Huan Wen of the Eastern Jin Dynasty posthumously honored him as King Wuxing. [9]
Geliang Zhuge Liang's prose masterpieces include The Table of the Exodus and The Book of Commandments. He invented the Wooden Ox and Horse, the Kongming Lantern, etc., and transformed the crossbow, called Zhuge Liangbow, which can be fired by ten vectors in one crossbow. Zhuge Liang's life "bowed to the utmost, and died before his death", is a representative figure of loyal ministers and wise men in traditional Chinese culture.

Zhuge Liang was born in the fourth year of the Han Emperor Lingdi's Guanghe year (181) in the Luangya County of Yangdu County of a government official's family, the Zhuge clan is the most important family of the Luangya County. The Zhuge Clan is a prominent clan in Luangya, and his ancestor Zhuge Feng was a lieutenant of Sili during the reign of Emperor Yuan of the Western Han Dynasty, and Zhuge Liang's father, Zhuge Gui, was the county minister of Taishan in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. [2] Zhuge Liang's mother Zhang died of illness when he was three years old, and Zhuge Liang lost his father when he was eight years old.
